It's a genIV block. No it doesn't need anything. I sold the top end off of it with the cam, heads, lifters, intake and carb etc. It has maybe 40 hours on it and ran perfect before I took them out to go with a new set of 540's I sold the other complete engine and the top to this one. No these are the older factory units. I have 2 set ups, one has an oil cooler and one doesn't They mount the filter up on the exhaust manifold.
