Long snout, splines great, less than 100 hours $ 250.00 plus the ride.





Short snout, steel coupler splines are good $200.00 plus the ride.

Splines look fine to me from what you can see in the pics. Rust is just cosmetic. Nothing a little sandpaper and rattle can can't fix. Hardly dumpster material if the splines and rubber inserts check out.

When the splines are sharpened to a point or sharp edge at the top of the spline their usually junk..Tieir is soppose to be a flat edge at the top of the splines..

Yeah, they are flat, which is what I was trying to get in the pics, oh well, guess I'll leave photography to the pros .

Maybe I'll fly Jay up here to get some good photos
