Default 1999 454 short block

This 1999 L-29 short block with tin has been sitting in my basement for years collecting dust. Was a 7.4MPI and has maybe 200 hours. Sold the heads off it a few years back. Someone make me an offer and come pick it up.

I've been asked the same questions a few times via pm and e-mail.

The engine has flat top hypo pistons, 3/8" bolt rods, iron crank, and 4 bolt mains. I've been told it is stronger than the old Gen IV and Gen V 330s and is good to 500HP.

I sold the original 100cc vortec heads but I have most everything else for the 7.4MPI package if more parts are desired.

It's a Gen VI roller cam engine that has not been dissassembled. I've got a 454Mag cam or a ZZ502 cam that can go with it for an extra $50.

$500 for the shortblock, flywheel, balancer, and tin.

No, I don't have time to crate a ship it. If you want it, you need to come get it.

Thank you,

I think your unwilliness to crate and ship severly limits your potential buyers. I know someone local that just hydrolocked their Gen VI 454 and might be in need of a shortblock once the machine shop determines the extent of the damage. A couple pics of how the block was stored and its current condition would help as well. Just my .02.

I realize this is an older thread, but is the block still available. I am willing to come to CT with a truck.
