Default What is this power package worth?

Hello and I would like to start off by saying thank you for clicking on this and hopefully giving me your honest 2 cents.

I have a fresh rebuilt HP500 Carb not EFI. The engine is drop in ready with new ignition, carb, fuel system, alternator the whole smash, put your headers on and hook the fuel line up. I can even re dyno for you. The drive is an old style XR upper and a 0 sport-master lower that is at the bravo shop being upgraded and completely rebuilt with new gears and components, obviously warrantied by them. I have receipts and documents to everything. I know what I will have just in rebuild money and its not fun to add up.

Just looking for a fair/honest reality number so I can decide if i want to plug it in for this coming season or go another direction.

Thanks

Matt

The engine is worth around 7 to 8 thousand and the drive 6 to 7.

$15000 for the package is a good deal for both parties,

Last used hp500 complete engine i bought was 10 k with exhaust. Yours is rebuilt but no exhaust. 7-8k is the lowest i would guess closer to 10k maybe 12 lucky because it is completly rebuilt. As for the drive i never thought it could as high as mentioned above. You can get bravo 1 between 1500-2500 any day, so an xr...??? 3500$?
I will let the drive experts give their opinion on drive prices!

Jeff is correct. Older style XR and being a 0 imco it’s not the most desirable. I know a guy looking to buy an XR and that would fit well with him if you are around 3500z motor is on pint at 7/8k

Thank you guys for the input. Wish I could have found a complete xr for 3500 when I was looking, none the less a rebuilt one with warranty. Upper xr gears are 2500 lower gears and rebuild kit 1500, miscellaneous bearings and shims another 1000 to 1500. Then the bill to have the case machined for reliability and put together 2000. 7000 in parts&labor and warranty. I think 17500 total would work. Let me know if anyone is interested. I have photos but can’t post, guess I’m too new of a guy.

Thanks again.

Just remember, it doesn’t matter how much you spend. 50/1 is a good ratio. 17500 is a tall task but if you get it nothing wrong with that.
