every time i removed fuel injection and added a good manifold and carb the engine performed better and seemed to gain a personality making it more fun much simpler too

I can agree. In my case the only things left of the original MPIs are the blocks and crankshafts. Everything else has been replaced... hence selling all the MPI parts.

How much for the lower 502 intake , are they good its hard to tell from the pictures?
