.. but since we`re on the subject if you use bigger blowers you can turn them slower therefore making less heat. Thats the whole point of going to bigger blowers .

Failing to see your logic.
OMG! The distributors will not fit if the blower case is hanging over the back of the intake. MSD makes a front drive kit but the water crossovers get in the way. So you add a super chiller or cooler and that makes room for the distributor to clear. I am not running super chillers or coolers. Pretty simple stuff.

Yes Thats what I have done and the MSD front drive will not bolt up straight because it hits the water crossover. Do you have a pic of yours?

OMG!!!! i`m so stupid.

The difference is 2" in length. You got some weird intake that puts it back further?
Here`s my 10/71 with no chiller and it fits just fine
OMG!!!
Seems like you know everything thou , so good luck.

Blowers were invented to pump air through a 2 cycle Detroit Diesel engine as early as the 1920's. To push air only in, and exhaust out.
The "71" is the displacement of one Detroit Diesel cylinder. If it was a 6-cylinder it had a 6-71 Blower bolted to the side of it, a 8 cylinder, they would use a 8-71, all the way up to 14 cylinders.
They were adopted later to force feed air/feul into 4 stoke engines in what we are familiar with today.

Just a little trivia for the blower heads...
