Guys,
I made one of these for my boat, on the advice that the hose barb gets brittle and breaks:

It would appear there is some interest, so I will be turning up a batch of them, and have them available. They are made from 316 stainless, and the hose barb is welded. This should pretty well be a forever replacement for the fragile plastic OEM unit. I will not be providing the O-rings at this time.
$150 each, shipped CONUS.
PM me with any interest.
Thanks. Brad.

Those are real nice Brad! Wish you had those 5 or so years ago when I rebuilt my drives. You need to have a retaining clip on a short stick sold with it, as attaching that retaining clip was a real PITA on my boat.

Unfortunately, I'm afraid I can't help you with installing the clip. It's just gonna be a PITA to install while the engine is in, no matter what. Which is why I replaced a perfectly good OEM one with one of these while mine was out. I should never have to replace it again. That's the whole selling point.
I will say this, though, just to put it out there.... There was no clip on mine when I removed it. It had obviously been replaced at some point before we bought the boat, and they gave up on installing the clip. The oil line connecter obviously does a sufficient job holding it in place.
You do NOT have to remove the drive to replace this fitting. Just turn the wheel all the way to the left, make sure the bellows hose clamp screw body is out of the way, and it comes right out.
Thanks. Brad.

That is a really nice piece. I follow Jarrod and A SHIP SHOW and sow these.
I just replaced mine with the OEM one. Not fun with engine installed.
I would like to buy one of these but I am unable to send you a private message because I just registered. Maybe you can send me one a private message if you have any left.
Thank you.
