What do you guys think about this for my center engine?

http://www.cpperformance.com/detail.aspx?ID=9038

I wonder if it can be welded on the outside with the tips still in the boat, or if I could get them welded onto the tails before they meet the tips.

I don't want to remove the tips if all possible.

I think you would blow torch that "anti-burn rubber" evertime you took it out and it was running lean. You welding and brazing bill would be much higher than $39.99

it has to go through 6ft of pipe before it gets to the flapper.

i have 4 brand new rex marine tips for the rear engines. I just have a problem on steep ramps with water comming up the rear tails. I told CMI when i ordered the tips I would need internal flappers. They said I would be fine...guess what they were wrong..I just want to cure this little issue since I currently have all the headers off. I think I would be better off welding them to the end of the tails.

I got some nice tips made from Stainless marine with metal flappers with rubber edges made. Nice hardware and all four of them cost me like $100 if I remember correctly. Maybe you can send those guys your tips and they can add their internal flappers.

I bought these whenever I blew mine out. No welding and took me about five minutes to install.
