The B.S. Thread
Email from TOPPS:
Yesterday several of us were at Wolfie's when Tony Guy stopped by while we were at the dock. Not as a harassment but as a nice gesture he told us that according to SJRA rules silent exhaust must be used within no wake zones. Trent who was with us brought up the fact that a number of boats do not have silent exhaust option whether it has been removed or in Trent's case with dry exhaust not present. Tony advised he needed to add. I suspect Tony told us this because it is something either the Constables department or our favorites Texas Parks and Wildlife have decided to crack down on this year. Whether excuse for revenue or simply to pull you over is unknown. We thought this would be worth
broadcasting.
On this note does anyone know a lawyer or legal expert, preferably familiar with boating laws, that would be willing to volunteer some time to answer questions we may have on matters of this nature? My personal opinion and not that of the club is that they are taking more and more from the pleasure of Lake Conroe and there ought to be some way to
educate people on what is correct and not.
