maybe Lake Conroe will get some of this......

HOUSTON -
A day of rain on Tuesday could turn into severe weather on Wednesday.

A flash flood watch was issued for most of southeast Texas from Tuesday at noon until Wednesday evening.

"It's going to be wet all day long," KPRC Local 2 meteorologist Anthony Yanez said. "Storms from the Gulf are tracking up to the north. It's going to be an extremely wet day."

Tuesday Weather Webcast

Temperatures Tuesday morning were in the low 50s. Tuesday's high is forecast for 64 degrees. There's a 100 percent chance of rain.

"Once you start getting the heavy rain this morning, it will be around for about 30 minutes. And then there's a gap with more out in the Gulf of Mexico," Yanez said.

Students head back to school on Tuesday. Be prepared for wet, slow roads with cool temperatures. Umbrellas and rain coats are a must.

An area of low pressure that will move in slowly could mean heavy rain and even flooding for southeast Texas on Wednesday.

"Tomorrow, the severe weather threat will be flooding and possibly tornadoes," Yanez said.

Tuesday will be rainy and cool with 1 to 2 inches of precipitation area wide. The ground will get saturated so any additional heavy rain Wednesday can easily produce flooding.

"In general, we'll see 3 to 4 inches of rain on Wednesday. We could see as much as 7 inches in some spots with 40 to 60 mph straight-line winds. We'll have some fairly deep ponding on streets so it will be inconvenient for you. If it gets deep enough, it could be dangerous," Yanez said.

There is also enough shear and instability in our atmosphere to produce a handful of tornadoes. Please pay close attention to the weather the next two days.

Wednesday's high is forecast for 70 degrees with a low of 64.
