Mine will look much worse than that one and on purpose. Also, mine will be much lower and chopped a lot more..........one day that is.

Anyone know of an appraiser that knows true value of homes in our area?

Are they assesing you a little to high? I need mine to appraise down a little too. Let me know how you come out.

No I’m doing a refi. with cash/out. When I built the house 4 mos ago and closed the appraisal was 235K.. I added a 20’x50’ x16’high garage 15K…a 150’ concrete driveway 20k, fence 4k sprinkler system 3.5k landscaping 6k..and the current appraisal is 210K WTF>>>>>>How can you put over 50k in upgrades and the value go down 25K?

You just got a chitty appraiser. The only way around it is to hire another one, it sucks, but if you want a different value, you just have to una$$ another $350. If you are doing a refi, the bank won't let you just hire an appraiser, you have to pay them again to have it appraised by someone else. I personally like Duke Coon at 936-760-2870.
