For those of you that have the 6.0 diesel and have lots of trouble, Last Friday ford found that the turbo chargers are sticking. They say that the turbos are on national back order. who knows how long it will take to get the parts and find some one that really knows how to fix it. They also say that they are going to change the entire fuel system.

the early 04's, You will know if yours has a problem. They do not run right at all. There is a sensor on the turbo that has gone bad three times in three months. whats funny when it acts up we took the truck to the dealer where it was bought they say there is nothing wrong. Every time we took it to another dealer they found a code that said sensor on turbo. they replaced it and runs great for a few days and bingo. ( if it looks, and smells like a lemon its got to be a lemon)

I started to loose power guessing around 30%. I had them replace the Turbo this week and my truck came back to life
They also have another reflash that has helped the shiffting and tow/haul mode the only downside I've seen is a longer spool up time when you floor it from a dead stop but it's worth it having a better attitude all around.
I do like this truck and the performance I have never had any of the problems they had with the early 6.0's

I just did a recall on my 04 Excursion but it was with the tranny! Cant remember exactly what was the problem, dealer had it for 4 days, dig up bill and notice when I'm at my office. This is my third one, about to get another, my only other problem's; a fowled injector, fixed under warrenty, as was the cigerette lighter blown fuse. Oh the whole dash and climate control went out, ground wire broke also no charge. Bought last Aug. 9th with 14 miles on the OD, today it just rolled onto 50,000, so minor annoying bugs, but nothing major!
