Crank up the front torsion bars a few turns (1 turn = 1/4") to get the A-arms off of the bumpstops, put on some adjustable Rancho RS9000 shocks and turn them all the way up.

Thanks for all the input.
I ordered IAS's from my engine guy. and I was told about the sway bar and will work that if the shocks don;t stiffen it enough.
Wannabe-- Doc John (a Fellow boater) is my dentist and he doesn't charge me!

I came across this company in one of my boat rags http://www.airliftcompany.com/
I was thinking about calling them about one of these products for my Tahoe. http://www.airliftcompany.com/new-index/Frameset.htm
I have an LT w/ the autoride system.

I had Air Bags on an Excursion that I used to pull my boat with and loved them.
However this truck is not for pulling, I have a dually for that. And if anything I think the softnest I don;t like is more from the front end than anything. I will try with IAS's and see, if it's not enough I'll work the torsion bar.

I would get the adjustable Rancho's. The IAS is more comparable to the Rancho 5000's which are really good shocks but if you are trying to get a stiffer ride I don't think you'll be happy with the set up of the IAS's. They are designed to be more user friendly than the ride of the 1 ton. The Rancho 9000's on the other hand can be jacked up to give you a really stiff ride. I guarantee you will not wish you had abought a better shock if you buy the 9000's, the Edelbrocks on the other hand are a coin toss on whether or not they will work for you. The cost of adding a bigger sway bar plus the IAS shocks will be much more expensive than 2 Rancho 9000 shocks anyways..........
