I believe there was also an issue with a wiring harness on the trucks that may be the cause of shutdowns...

I had an EGR stick open on mine- it acted like it was misfiring under load but it didn't quit running. Interestingly enough, as soon as they replaced the EGR valve my fuel mileage went up 2 MPG- from the pre-issue fuel usage.

With an '05 truck at this mileage I would definitely be looking at a lemon-law adjustment.

Yeah yeah yeah, No I am not talking crazy lifted 44" tire monster trucks, but a 06' F350 with 4.56 gears and 35 inch tires?

Before you say it, I have towed boats for 16 years with 35" tires. Common sense driving tactics, antisway bars, great brakes, and staying way under the maximum towing load and it can be done.
Really ? DJ told you that ?

Yeah... They are just kinda hard to see them because they are usually in front of you blowing black smoke on your windshield...

To be fair, he singled out 35" tires as being "not safe" and computer mods for towing "a way to hurt your motor".

Rons truck is STILL at the dealer (2 weeks today),he says they sent a rep up from ford, they think it has a internal hi pressure oil leak causing hydraulic pump down?of his injectors,I'm getting the info second hand from him. They told him the injectors are electro- hydraulic and the oil is letting them shut off but I think he is confusing what they are telling him. He has good oil pressure on gauge, maybe there is something that shuts fuel off if its not sensing oil pressure. If I get any more info that makes any sense I'll post it,Smitty
