That's Fly-n-Hi in Az. I recognize the shop. You're right about the fenders, they don't look as good as the Chevy conversions. I know the shop well though. If someone wants their phone number I'll get it for you.

itilldo, I drive a single wheel 1-ton 4x4 chevy. Why couldn't you look into keeping your single rear wheels, and just upgrade your wheels and tires.

check www.chromewheel.com

I have bought several fenders from Bernie. They fit well and he has some made for excursions.

1- Would this even be feasible?

2- What would the cost be (approx)?

3- Can one take a 2005 Exc with a 6.0 PS install a Dually rear end and mod the body?

Any and all comments are appreciated.

First of all, what are you looking into buying, boat wise?

It's not worth it. You'd wind up swapping the axles, wheels, tires, brakes, and springs and the best you could hope for with the pain of reapplying for a modified registration is to gain a couple thousand pounds of towing capacity, and even then the legality could be questioned in the event of an accident. You'd be better off getting a used 650 Excursion Conversion at a killer deal. There was one recently on here. I don't know if it sold.
