Oh yeah, I didn't even think that the 05's looked the same as the 06's. Duhh...don't mind me, lol.

That new Power Stroke sounds like it's got some nice features to it...I'm lovin the twin-turbo.

Now, it is just up to someone to decide if they want to buy a first year engine or not. Myself, I would not buy a first year engine from any builder, so I would wait a year

Troutly,
I agree, I won't want to be a BETA owner of ANY new engine, from any manufacturer! Alot of new technology in the 6.4! Been thru that with the US DOD programs I've worked on and it's a never ending battle trying to keep these "State of the Art" systems up and running!

Back in '92 I bought the first year of the new Chevrolet Suburban 7.4L Vortec and I had problems with it such as 3 radiators, 4 transmissions, wind shield wipers going out in 5 years, and it overheated everytime I pulled with it.

I used to tow my first boat, a '94 2,500lb Maxum Run-about from LA to Laughlin, Nevada at Lake Mohave during the summer and it would reach 240F everytime. SO I had to drive back with the heaters on full blast and 130F weather outside, that was the first year for that truck. Ken.

It'd be hard for the thing to be worse than the '06 is.....
I wonder if it will pull????
Really.
the '06 we have doesn't impress me one bit.

i am surprised that you think that of the 06, of the complaints i usually hear about the ford, power isn't one of them... i drove them all a year ago when i bought mine and gave the power nod to the ford, which i bought...
