12-13K real lbs is the limit of what I would tow regularly with a SRW. with a CC diesel it puts you up around 20K GCWR...that's plenty for a SRW

I gave up the SUV for a F-250 PS, King Ranch loaded up, got the short bed crew with a rear bench. I added a fiberglass locking cover and put a bed rug in the back. I'll tell you that I enjoy driving this better than my Suburban. The mileage is comparable while not towing, better than the Suburban while towing. I use the bed for tools and luggage. Lots of room in the cab. I chose the Ford primarily because of the interior ammenities. The Power Stoke 6.0 is a question mark. My origninal 04 had lots of problems. My 06, zero problems. I tow 11-12K and I'll tell you that this is as much as I would tow without a dually. I don't think I would want to go back to a burb.

How did you know I flunked out of rocket science school? Maybe its tougher towing my boat than I realize. My manual must be wrong.

My SRW Crew GCWR is 22,000 lbs.

My rocket-brain has done the math, and tells me that is still 2,000+lbs. more combined wieght capacity than what I do fully loaded with fuel ect.

Good tires, monster hitch, the right tounge wieght, no problem.

Need to have a big garage. Mine won't fit.

You will probably need to be able to handle 18K to be safe. Also make sure that you know what the max capacity is with a direct pull hitch. Most max figures are quoted using a WD hitch.. There is not an SUV made today, that I am aware of, that will handle the load you are talking about.
