Default 350 FORD Diesel

I have a 2004 350 Ford Dully / Diesel. I'm experiencing running hesitation / turbo lag and lost of power. The turbo was replaced and I was told that because I don't run the truck often (I run it every couple of weeks or so)....that the blades in the turbo are rusting and not opening properly causing my problems.

Has anyone else experience this problem?

Just bought my first diesel...I have been told by many to drive the truck once a week for your exact reason. Supposedly the turbos last a long time with regular use, it's the sporadic use that kills them.

Had sim problem(s) with my Excursion and solved the problem when my EGR plug somehow became disconnected..

Granted my Excursion is just over two years old and has just over 130K on it....

www.thedieselstop.com is the OSO of Ford Trucks. They will probably have a few answers for you, but it already seems like we have the right info here.

Have you checked the fuel filters?
