I am not aware that running non-low sulphur diesel will hurt that motor. Check over at the dieselplace.com, more of a regulatory sign than anything else.

Mark, the new LBZ has a filter in the exhaust that will stop up and put engine in limp mode if you burn regular #2 in it.

I am pretty sure that if it is an LBZ, it does not have the DPF, LMM is the designation for the 2007+ models with the DPF. Cant find the info, but read that number 2 will cause the DPF to self clean more often and may require factory service prior to the 100k mark that they are shooting for with the ULSD fuel.

LMM equipped vehicles will be in the new body style HD trucks

So, when I fill up with Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel in my 2000 PSD Ford, do I need to use an additive?

No, lubricants are added during the refining process. Though some hard core diesel people recommend additives for all diesel.

Anyone have any pics of the new body HD Duramax for 07/08?? or is there Anybody here working in that industry care to share some info??

I am trying to plan out ahead of time what I will replace my current one with. I saw the new regular duty Gm stuff already, but they said the HD/diesel stuff would look a bit different.. My other thought is the new HD Dodge /cummins thats coming out.. That is if there is any other info other than on the 07 Dodge post.. J

Actually I had a customer come in this morning with one and I drove it.... 07 GMC Dmax, butt frickin ugly, and I luv GMC trucks, so i'll keep my 06 GMC Dmax thank you very much....

also I saw an 08 Super Duty demo yesterday at a local Furd dealer, if it didn't say Super Duty all over it, and I mean even the damm dashboard.... i'd think it was pretty awesome... pretty quiet too...

I have the 05 Duramax.. So it will be time for something again soon.. Did you think the new F is quieter than the 05 /06 stuff?? Or about the same? I am hesitant to get a Ford.. Every one I ever had was nothing but aggrevation from before buying untill the day I sold or traded it.. The Gm on the other hand has been a 9 out of a possible 10 for me.. I kind like the look of the new dodges nut I like the power of the duramax & I dont want to regress on the next tow vehicle... Jamie
