You will be fine with the right hitch and a diesel or v10

You can find a mid/late 90's Top Gun for $90k. They can be towed with an F250 too.

Not safely or legally.

The 28 to 34' range will definitely be fine back there.

I would check with your Ford dealer. I was looking at a F250SD with the 5.4, and I was surprised at how low the tow capacity was vs the GVWR in the spec's in their brochure. Especially since I had already had a couple of friends tow my boat, it seemed like a good package. I ended up up buying a GMC with 6.0m that was rated for the load.

I had a F-250 4x4 crew cab last year & pulled my 43 Scarab with trips & my 42 GTX. The GTX was a little easier then the Scarab ( not a suprise ) but both where ok. You just had to watch for people stopping in front of you. It was a little short on brakes for the Scarab. By the way it had a v-10 & it wasn't has good has the 6.0 diesels I had in 05 & 04.

The F250 depends on the motor/ trans/rear end/wheel base

5.4 tows 9,600
V-10 tows 12,500
diesel tows 15,000
