Have an '05 6.0 On the second set of injectors at 60K mi. Although Ford denies there is a problem, last time in they put an update in the computer that makes the injectors cycle for 30 seconds after motor is shut off. 7.3 is the workhorse

I tow a Cig Bullet and have done it with a 7.3 and a 2006 6.0
I would never go back to the 7.3 on my trips to Florida towing the boat on hills that the 7.3 was down in 3rd gear I can accellerate up with the 6.0 automatic. They were both 4x4 crew cab duallys. The 6.0 was a short box and with the coil over suspension and new steeing geometry was a dream to drive even around town I use it a a daily driver

I'm on my 2nd 6.0 and other than replacing an injector on my 04 I've had no problems. My 06 is 15 months old and has never seen the inside of a dealership,,and I drive it every day.
Before I bought my 04 I had a 00 f350 7.3 that was also a good truck other than a somewhat dissapointing lack of power as far as driving,,,it towed great, but daily driving it was somewhat of a slug. A programmer and an airbox did wonders for it though. and at 80 to 85 mph on the road towing my motorcycle trailer it got consistantly over 18 mpg. with 4:10 gears and 35 inch tall tires.
