I just weighed my 05 382.....14,700. I am ok on the CGWR,23,100. I can go to 26K with the 4.30"s. I need a distributing hitch to stay legal with my 06 F350. I pulls pretty good with just a ball. The tounge weight is 1340. I squats the truck with that much on the tounge. It should pull real good with a WD hitch. The trailer is a Techsun with aluminum I beams. Any suggestions on a hitch. I need about +6" on the rise of the hitch. Thanks, Dave

I hope thats 14,k with the trailer! I have never seen anyone use A distribution hitch, except on a mobile home.Move the boat back and keep about 1ooolbs on the tongue.I just installed add aleaf springs in my excursion, they dont effect ride qualityat all because they dont come in contact with the springs until the trailer is connected. After loading it onto your rig figure out which size drop or rise you need and you should be good to go!By the way I own a 382 with gen.

Surprised an aluminum trailer weighs that much. My Eagle steel trailer is #3000. I pull a 382 with a weight dist hitch. Ride is much better and safer, too. Takes all the bucking out, and I think it significantly reduces the wear and tear on the truck.
