Default Will I gain HP?

I have a 2006 duramax dually...I found this hood and it comes with an optional air box and filter to make it a real, functionable ram-air hood...I have the Bully Dog power-pup programmer and was wondering if this will gain me even more HP??? Anyone here have any info on this???The optional box and filter is an extra $300 and want to make sure it's worth the extra $$$Thanks guys,Mike

Can't see why not, I haven't met an internal combustion engine yet that did not like cooler more dense air
At a minumum it should help keep your EGTs down.

Doubt you will feel anything from the hood. CAI, yes.

It MIGHT be good for 15-20HP at 60mph+ if used w/o a bug deflector.

They make a "heat extractor" hood for the Ford SD/Ex. The guys on TDS make note that it noticeably drops engine operating temps.

My buddy has that same hood on his lifted duramax..... it is pictured on the homepage for his website: http://www.automotiveaccents.net/

I don't think he could "feel" any difference in power.... but it certainly can't hurt.

Nice, thanks. I was looking around and couldn't find one. I wonder if the gains are worth it.
