I bought one this week and will pick it up on Saturday. I'm not looking forward to the mileage, but my 06 F-350 with 4-10's only gets about 12-13 the way I drive it, and 9 pulling the boat. How much worse could it be

Chuck, my 07 is getting 13.9-14.4 and Im not exactly light on the throttle. Thats with SCT, intake and exhaust. Just came back from a trip, 78-82mph with cruise average 17.7, I was pleased. I just wish you could get the 3.73 0r 4.10's in the 450, Id buy right now.

The milage isnt the real problem.Mine is the one randy was telling bobby about.We drove from md to jacksonville and had to stop 5 times for fuel.Not a big enough tank and will only do 81 mph.I think the problem was getting the 4.88 rear.If somebody wants a deal it is leaving my house soon.

I didn't want to buy now, but my 06 was giving me some problems and I didn't want to get left on the side of the road with the boat behind me( especially being overwidth). I know you keep up on the modifications, so keep me posted on what should be done to this new one. It has the 4.30 ratio. Thanks

Just change the tires to 245's with the 4:30's and you will have a 4:10 equivalent.....and it will look much better!

1998 F-150, 4.6, 2x4 getting 19mpg highway... 8 or 9 towing.

I am trying to get one but they havent been able to find me a white/gold lariat with the 4.30s. If you know of one let me know or who to call.
