Red Dog: The tahoe will not handle/track like the BMW or Zr1, period. It will be a much vaguer feel. But the the Tahoe should track Ok and not "wander" much. However they will wander MORE than the sports cars. Grooved highways affect the vehicles with higher Cg. more than the sports cars as well as tread pattern.

Having said that, try rotating the tires front to rear (first make sure the presure is equal in all 4). I have found that production tires vary and maybe the fronts are not as round as the rear- the belts-

Next you may want to try a different set of tires- LT's with stiffer sidewalls- You have the 20 inch wheels so that May get expensive. Guys I know SWEAR by the TOYO 20 inch tires for the SUV's.

I only have 3000 miles. I work for a dealer so That is my demo and I get a new one every 6,000 miles. As of yet no problems, also customers seem be be very happy and have not had many issues with the vehicle.

Getting a little more used to the ride, but I'm still wondering about the Z-71 shocks. It is just a 2LT package (not an LTZ) and don't think it has the autoride suspension.

If you don't have the autoride, I'd suggest going with Donahoe coilovers up front, Bilstein's in the back and perhaps airbags to stiffen the rear springs up as I don't believe Deaver or anyone else makes upgraded rear springs for the Hoe yet.

I personally am looking at a Z71 for my next truck, but can't even find one to test drive. The LTZ w/air ride I drove felt awful.

Have a question for you. Just happen to be at a dealer last weekend shopping around for a new Tahoe. There was this salesman walking around putting the "red tag" specials on the vehicles. Just happen to look at a used '07 advertised at $13995. Went inside foe a salesman and told him I'll take it. He looked it up and informed me "wrong red tag".
Should they have honored the price?

To the original poster, www.hotchkis.net has front and rear swaybars for the 2007+ Tahoe that they claim takes a large amount of sway out of the stock setup.

Fiend,

Thanks for the input. Exactly what I was looking for!

I guess that all depends on the dealer. Most dealers will put the stock number or last eight of the vin on the tag somewhere so if this happens its there in black and white. I don't think any dealer would want to loose 20,000 to 25,000 on a used vehicle. If it was an honest mistake they will not honor it. But im sure you could still work out a good deal with them.

Now is the time you can get 0% for 60 months or 1.9% for 72. Very good time to buy an 07. If you need anything else just ask.

Let me know how you like them when you get them. I'm considering a Tahoe but the ride and handling just didn't cut it for me.
