Default 2009 F-150 Diesel?

Anybody here anything about this? Supposed to be 4.4 litre turbocharged diesel from Range Rover.

I used to be excited about stuff like this, till i saw how much junk they have put on the new trucks. All of the new trucks get worse milage and not much more power than all the older trucks. They will just limit this thing up so much it won't be fun either.

AutoWeek is reporting that Ford will allegedly be putting a supercharged 4.4L diesel V8 engine in the F-150 for 2009. Expect it to have around 330 horsepower and 520 lb-ft of torque! GM & Dodge are also planning on putting diesel engines in 1/2 ton trucks, but Ford is expected to be the first to actually produce such a truck. The 4.4-liter engine is a larger version of the 3.6-liter turbocharged V-8 used in European market Land Rover Range Rovers.

numbers sound impressive considering the 6.4 is rated at what 350hp and 650 torque.

Yes, but it will probably be turbocharged, not s/c. F150 is getting a big face lift as well to look more like the F250. Interior is redesigned as well.

Anything will be better than the 150 with the gas/4spd auto....
