Aluminumized diesel exhaust
#2
Have you checked eBay? You ought to be able to pick up the SS kit for less than $400 shipped.
I would not get the Aluminum. My EGTs have gotten up over 1000 degrees F on long steep grades on hot days when towing. 1200-1300 is going to damage any metal (melt), and the aluminum is probably even more susceptible to damage from heat.

1350 is ok for 1 - 2 minutes...you will see on some of the higher hp programs for 2 -3 seconds programs hitting 1500 -1600 degrees..before the next shift ...very common. Is it something you want to do ll the time.. no...
Some stock trucks will hit 1300 degrees on a steep grade pulling a load..keep that in mind also.
