I think he's suggesting you move from a medium-specific motor to a OTR motor. That would be cost-prohibitive, even if you could get it to fit.

Re-rate it with CAT if you have warranty left. If not, put a programmer on it & watch your egt's.

3126 is a motor made primarily for the medium-duty market. 24' box trucks, school buses, motor homes, etc. OTR is Over The Road- big on-highway tractors pulling 53' boxes day after day after day. It's a much heavier built motor with big power- and big fuel consumption, not that turning up the juice on your 3126 isn't going to kill you at the pump.

Will do, truck going back to dealer in Ga. for some new goodies, hydraficient one of them. should have it back around mid Oct.

No, boat is back on the east coast. I was going to go down to the docks and look for a ride, but not a big fan of running on cold rainy days.

I too have a edge box in my 3126 set to "2". I tried "4" and it had tons of power but I was seeing EGTs higher than I was comfortable with when pulling my 50' race rig up long steep hills.
