When you say" watch additives in your fuel system", do you mean not to run any additives?

I have the Dodge 6.7 in my truck. I do a lot of highway driving and never let the particulate canister get clogged. I also idle alot here due to the heat and running the a/c in the truck. I have never had that problem. The highway miles keep it clean. I was running the truck into Dodge every week for the check engine light. They have replaced the O2 sensor a couple of times and reset the light. The last time I brought it in they replaced the turbo with an upgraded model. Since then I have had the check engine light on and the truck has run fine with no problems. The tech at my Dodge dealer said they are working on a new O2 sensor that will be less sensative to the diesel smoke. This is what happens when the government mandates these changes and doesn't give the companies manufacturing the vehicles time to come up with the proper operating solutions. Other than these pollution problems, I have had no problems with the truck (55k) and it runs and hauls my boat great. All of the big 3 are having similar problems meeting the new diesel fuel requirements and pollution systems.

Which Dodge do you have? I have an '06 dually, drove a 4500 last summer and really liked it.
