Dang! What have they done to make them that bad on gas? I don't think I could make mine use that much unless I poked a hole in the gas tank!

We get 15-16 in city,as high as 22 on the road, and 13-14 towing with my 04.

I have a 2007 HD with the 6.0, I get somewhere between 14-16 I'd say. Towing my cousin's 38...significantly less . Keep in mind the 07 and up 6.0's are different from the previous ones, I believe they make more power. And the 6-speed tranny is great too, I've had no problem pulling 12-13K lbs. I'm sure it doesn't pull off the line like a D-max but I have no problem on the highway and that $10 G difference from the dmax will buy a lot of gas.

I worked the numbers every which way I could before I bought mine and it would take me almost 7 years to recoup the upfront cost for the dmax in fuel savings. I don't plan on keeping it that long so I couldn't justify it. For the occasional big pull, the new 6.0's are great motors.

Good to know it totes the heavy big loads as well.. I have pulled a few things at about 8k #'s so far & it towed them well. I also like the new tranny better. J

Yeah I was delightfully surprised how well it does do. And like mentioned it does seem to have more power now (I think I have about 20K miles or so), then it did say 10K miles ago. I know it does better burnouts now
