Or atleast jump to a 265 tire. I am on my 3rd set of Michelin LTX's (now called LTX II). Even as bald as you can get (without cord coming through) I still got my 32 Sunsation out of the ramp last weekend. New tires were in my garage but I didn't have the time to get them swapped yet.

With my 2WD 2500 diesel I only got stuck at one ramp about 6 months ago (my local one, I use it all the time). Don't know why it slipped that day but I still use it even with the same bald tires that I had before. I suspect someone spilled something like oily bildge water as the boat was coming out of the ramp. Nothing a tow strap couldn't fix though!

I second the Michelin LTX's. I've got them on my Excursion, 285 75 16's, and have almost 120000 miles on them. You will not find a better riding or durable tire out there!

I third the Michelins. I bought my Dodge dually with 22,000 miles on the OD and the OEM Generals still on it. At 40k I had to replace them. I asked the guys on www.cumminsforum.com what tires I should buy and they said Michelin Goodyear Nitto and Toyo. I asked the Discount Tire guys and they recommended the Michelin LTXs. I put the Michelins on and they are hands down the best tires I've ridden on in a truck.
