Default Grand Cherokee SRT8

Any members here own one? Thinking of replacing my fiance's TrailBlazer SS with one when the lease is up. Looking for some long-term impressions from those who have owned one for a little while. I have been on the SRT8 forums researching too.

I looked at both the srt8 and ss for my wife and ended up with the SS. Much more room and just all around more usable. Yes, the srt8 is faster...but not by much. I like the subtle look of the ss anyway.

I looked at the SRT8 before deciding on the TBSS as well. The deciding factor at the time was price more than anything. The SS is definitely more practical, no question. However, I don't think I love it enough to buy it.

I've got the SRT-8 in the Charger. Spent a full day on a 3.5 mile road course with the Richard Petty school driving all the SRT vehicles. That damn Jeep (AWD) is FASTER than my Charger even though it's the same motor. Don't know a thing about the other but I do like the Jeep.

BTW: My Charger ran a 12.9 1/4 when it still had 30 day tags on it.

Friend has a modded one, of which he had a modified Trailblazer SS and modded Cayenne Turbo before. SRT-8 Jeep is just badass, rips off the line and up top, geared well. No problems with it and seen countless launches at the strip and drives hard on the street, his Trailblazer SS blew the tranny at the strip. The Cayenne was obviously more refined and towed better lol, but neither match the raw fun the Jeep is.
