06 f 250 6.0 turbo and at 70,000 all kinds of issues starting with a cracked intke manifold, mech said it is a common issue with them. Also the trubo leaks oil excessively.

I know of a dealer that will not take ANY 6.0 on trade! Has been burned way too many times.

My step dad has a 2005 and just put the 4th engine in it and thats in 65000 miles completely stock

He should have switched to Cummins the first time.

we have an 06 with no trouble gets 15 miles to the gallon also have an 08 450 that get 8 miles to the gallon now that it has 5000 miles on it for the first 1000 or so it got 13 my o6 350 started out at 13 and got better ford said that thay dont no whats rong with the 08 so we think the 06 is better

Well the 450 is a much heavier truck(8300lbs vs 7100 f350). Plus it comes with ONLY a 4.88 rear end. As to why your mileage got worse I've NEVER heard of that with a diesel, very strange...

I meant he should have dropped a Cummins in it. The Ford is a great truck and with a Cummins it's an awesome truck.

Default 06 550 hauler

I have a 06 550 hauler bed decked out and loaded been my truck for 4 years truck has 140k but its spottless if your interested email me at [email protected] ill send you pics. has warranty till 200k miles from ford and yes it has been in the shop I believe they all have its had injectors replaced and ford has done updates to program truck runs awsome pulls my cafe racer and stops it with out a doubt in your mind im goin to be looking around 30 its 4x4 leather/wood loaded turns heads everywhere .reason im selling I just bought the 650 that was listed in truck classifieds here on oso. thanks oso show stopping awsome truck
