Here we go with the Ford versus Chevy. Friends wife has a 2010 equanox so I have been in one , but thanks for asking. Bottom line is I would choose edge or equinox over nissan.

Bought my wife an '08 Edge Limited and she loves it. She was big on the Murano too, but I couldn't pass up Ford's 0%. Inside is nice and roomy for the passengers. A bit high on road noise and the brakes are a problem as discussed on numerous forums and consumer reports (i.e. small rotors and short life.) Mpg is about 20 in town. Also - I was under the impression that the Edge 3.5 was a Nissan product?

I'd like to trade it in for a '10 or '11 model. I think they listened to the owners and made some changes to address what I wrote above. All in all.......I would buy one again.

I am a big Ford fan, have owned several of their vehicles and enjoyed every one. My current daily ride is an F150 that does a pretty admirable job of pulling the boat. It is the best vehicle I've ever owned.

Having said that, we were looking for my wife a new car and it came down to the same two choices. One drive in the Murano and my wife was hooked. I can't say I regret the decision as it is a great car. Fast, smooth, quiet, confortable for either of us to drive, a ton of features and now a 120K warranty on the CV transmission. We have had zero problems in 30k miles and 1 1/2 years of ownership. Only time will really tell the true story.

As they say, you pay your dues and you take your chances.

Give me a call. I will give you a great price on a new Edge. The 2011's will be out soon and are re-designed. They are great vehicles!

If thats what she wants let her get it otherwise she will be unhappy. They all have a warranty and it does not seem like you keep cars very long.

The murano would be my choice
