What about using a vehicle tire vs. a trailer tire?
My snowmobile trailer has a 4500 GVW. Goodyear Marathon trailer tire (205/75-14) has a load C rating at 1760 lbs. The auto tire that I am looking at (same size) has a 1530 lb. rating. Does this mean that with a dual axle trailer, the total lb. load rating would be 6120?
Question is: Can I use a vehicle rated tire on a trailer?
