Not flat out perfect conditions, but I have seen 72-73 with half a tank and 6 people on the boat in calm water. There's some more left! I also pulled off the silent thunder, and it let's those gils breathe a little better.

73 w/ 6 people and fuel is very commendable! I bet you can see 75 with 2 on board and a 1/4 tank. 292 and 312 FasTech owners always act surprised.... Make sure to wave as you pass.

Post a pic of the transom without ST.

I'll have to snap a few with it on the trailer... here's the best I have for now. This was at City Marina in Charleston, SC.

What I was hoping for is maybe there was a forum member who knew these cars well that would be willing to take a look at it for me.

They changed the wheels in 1994. they are overall more desirable so no loss there... unless they are aftermarket wheels. the aftermarkets just don't look quite right and could ding the value some.

The ZR1 really shines at high speeds, high RPM.

The water pump was one of the weak links. If you buy a Z, I'd strongly suggest keeping your eyes out for a New Old Stock pump. probably run you 500 bucks but worth having on hand just in case.

Windshields are also a problem. the factory tinted windshield is not obtainable anymore, last I checked, and they almost always de-laminate if it is tinted.

Another problem that is harder to diagnose for a newbie is not getting full power in full power mode.
