What tires?

My trailer tires are 12 years old and although they look ok are past when they should be replaced. They are radials, ST225/75R15, Tow-Master brand.

What brand does everyone like? What should I stay away from?

Thanks,

I just put four tow masters on the trailer for my cc on the way out of town this weekend, the four goodyears looked great had plenty of tread left, but I had one delaminate about four exits northbound and was not taking any chances.

Tirerack.com has great prices on tires.

For the size you have, I'd put some Goodyear Marathons on it and not have to worry about them.

Discount Tire Direct has the Good Year Marathons in that size for $108 each shipped to your door. I should have 2 showing up on my doorstep tomorrow.

Check the load range of the tires, make sure you don't go lighter.

It is a Velocity 280 with a two axel trailer. The original tires are D rated and while I never had any problems I am thinking of going with E rated as the dry weight of the boat is 4,800#.

Thanks,

I was relieved when I ordered my new trailer and the guy said it would have Marathons....search Carlisle tires in this fourm.....I seem to remember some real horror stories.....
