I like that truck.. I wanted a bigger back seat but it is not a deal killer. That is why I liked the dodge mega cabs.

I like my 7.3 Ford. Got it for 11k. and had 100K miles. Body has a little rust but thought I may just redo the body. I too use it for about 10,000 miles a year so my thought is this thing could last me many years if I keep the rust down.

In the end Im saying you may wanna look at some lower priced and older Fords that you can fix up a little cuz if the power train is going to last then Y not?

I've owned my 01 7.3 Ford since 03 and have never had any of those problems. In fact the only thing I can find fault with on the truck is that the front hubs fail prematurely since they used the same bearings and didn't beef them up for the weight of the diesel and the extended dually spacers.
