My dealer called me this week and gave me my VIN for my build along with my born on date and delivery date for the new truck.

She's getting built on 10/1 with an estimated delivery of 10/8.

nice good luck. Had mine a year now and Im getting close to 17mpg in the city and 21ish almost 22mpg on the highway. Which I know some other brands get good MPG like chevy, but you cant match the power and mpg like the ford in a half ton. Im sure in the next few years ford will be one upped. But for now for overall price, quality, towing, mpg, again I say overall, I dont think you can find a better package.

I just got home from Table Rock. I towed my boat home, which weighs about 10.5k on the trailer. I did it with my 1/2 ton ecoboost. Ran 75mph most of the 300 miles, got 8.6 mpg, burned 34 gallons of gas.
I know it is overweight, but damn the little motor just hummed along like all was fine.
I'm impressed. The thing towed better, powerwise, than my old Duramax did.

my boat weighs about the same as yours and I towed about 68 and got 12mpg towing mine. . The truck could go faster but the trailer and boat dont matter what is towing has never really liked going above 70 for some reason.

Is the mileage you guys talking about what the computer is saying, or have you checked it against hand calculating?

These computers are dead on against my calculations. They tell you down to the tenth of a gallon fuel used and I compare that to what I put in at the pump. It is always exactly the same numbers.

That's cool, impressive.

yup you can watch it instantly and historically. I have hand jammed it twice and found numbers to be dead on. I think these new systems arent what was in your old original models that were more or less guessing. I think these things actually are measuring flow and distance. Theyre pretty dead on if I fill up for a trip it will tell me how far I can go or during a trip it will say how many more miles I have to left, which i know isnt new but its pretty accurate and I can plan out stops.
