I've run no caps for 6 years, hubs still look like new.

I don't think you'll have a problem using the caps in freshwater, but I would suggest taking them off while still new and drilling them out. I'ld drill at least 6 holes, so they drain in any position.

New trailer is being delivered on Monday! And the new shop will be finished out next Wednesday. Lets go boating!@!
