Personally I wish Ford would import versions of their FPV line from Austrailia, they have some brutal kick ass sedans that make the Taurus Sho look like an epic fail. Or f' it, they need to stick the Ecoboost 6 into the Fusion with a manual trans, that would sell like hot cakes and would have been a real "Sho" not the bloated whale the Taurus is now.

New Fusion looks so good, stick the Eco boost 6 in it, manual trans, awd (since it's fwd) etc and make a great sports sedan from the big 3. But no, they'd rather have their auto only fat pig whale 4400lb Taurus "Sho", not even worthy of the Sho name. You can get the same exact car from Lincoln.

The Chevy Cruze is basically a Volt without the dead-weight and flammable 400-lb. electric battery. Which makes it $17,000, rather than the Volt’s $41,000 , Each Volt sold makes GM no money ; but it costs We the Taxpayers a $7,500 bribe Oop's I mean “incentive ,” Oh whatever and The resident Obama wants to jack this Eerr bribe to $10,000 per Dolt , Now with GM’s new 60-day return policy, it looks like you can buy a Dolt and cash the $7,500 bribe check. Then return that thing and just keep the $7,500 bribe cash , Wow How’s that for Taxpayer coin stewardship ?
I failed to mention at least five Volt fires , This fire problem remains unsolved. Is it the battery? Is it the charging station? Is it the charging cable? All of the above? The Laughable thing here is all this car does that is different , is that it stores the equivalent of a gallon of gas, in the form of electricity !!

Yes, the most technologically advanced car on the road costs more than a mass produced compact, big surprise. A lambo costs more than a Nissan Versa, is the buyer of that dumb?

What is this crap? 5 fires my ass, prove that! There is absolutely no fire problem. I work at GM as I've mentioned around here, and you are very misinformed by people who have a political problem with the car, and don't know the first thing about cars. 2 wrecked ones (in crash testing by the gov't) that were not properly discharged after being totaled started on fire 2 weeks after the wreck. What happens when you crash a traditional car and let gas leak everywhere? How many gas car fires are there every year, cuz they NEVER burn huh?

There have been many Fords that have caught on fire, with no government assistance. Without government assistance, Ford would have sold practically no hybrids thus far.
Just for some balance
For the record, I think the Volt is just way too far ahead of the infrastructure required for it. The price is obviously a high point for mass acceptance.

Here, let me put the salient points straight from your article backing up "5 fires" or that it's a hazard somehow:
"The first incident of a battery fire in tests came in June, three weeks after a crash test — and sparked three nearby fires as well. A second test in November produced another fire, at which point the results were made public."
That is 2 fires, neither to the public, and both LONG after a crash test! The "nearby fires" were not Volts just blowing up, they were other things near the 1 fire.
Exactly as I said, weeks after a CRASH test 2 cars had a fire. Their batteries were not discharged as they should have been. Just like leaving a leaking gas tank around would cause a problem.
The next "helpful" link is to a very old clip of a prototype Volt, nothing to do with production. A car meant to be on display at a carshow doesn't fly up a hill? Yeah, you showed us what a pile a production Volt (with the highest customer satisfaction in the industry) is.

Please either stick to boat design, or at least ranting on politics, but your attempts to talk cars, which is nothing more than politics to you just isn't working.
