Not a 650 but I have GMC 4500 Topkick with Pickup conversion and have it insured with USAA no problems. Did have to take it to supervisor to get it approved.

I am not in the market for a new truck, and there is NO doubt the F650's are the ultimate in cool factor, but I think when I do upgrade trucks I'll be looking into the Kodiak's. They seem to have a LOT more in 4x4 and the looks have really grown on me - it's a real bonus to know that USAA will insure it for me.

I have a Freightliner Sport Chassis with a pickup box. Nobody wanted to insure it, even Allstate with whom I have all my other vehicles insured with. A friend told me to call Progressive, easy as pie, not to many questions and only $350 a year! These big pickups on steroids aren't very good daily drivers but they sure make a world of difference towing. I know most guys say they are way overkill and not needed for our size boats but I think the only ones who say that are the ones who have never had the pleaser of towing with one. No white nuckle moments, they have all the power you need on grades, they can stop the wieght without overheating the brakes and you never feel like your being sucked into a fast passing big rig. Well worth their high price tag!!! P.S. You just can't beet their COOOOL factor!!!! Every time I stop somebody is taking pictures. Hell I've even had guys taking pictures while I'm passing them on the highway.

BZ , I have a e450 custom made truck and it was hard to insure at first . I added a portapoty , fridg , microwave and then had it changed to a motorhome title and then coupled it with my 36 ft fifth wheel as a recreational vehicle . no problem now . look for it at distinct and unusual tow units in this sectiion .
