I do most of my boating in NJ (travels down the east coast sometimes to Charlotte Harbor area) and the trailer floats a bit, not crazy but it does get annoying. When I maneuver in tighter areas my tires really flex on the wheels almost too much and i'm worried that they are doing less sliding than they should and really causing strain on the bearings.

What size wheels do you guys use? Also any certain wheel bearings you have better luck with?

Here's a pic of my rig, i'm on the left. Yea I know PC's are frowned upon, but hey with the engine work and what not she runs 50mph WOT and 38-40 cruise GPS. I can cruise with my fastech friends with all the accommodations lol.

Any info is appreciated. Also this may help the fella get some ideas of what is involved in a tri-axle.

This is why I decided to go with a tandem axle trailer. I had Loadmaster use 7K axles, Timken bearings, and 16" wheels/tires. It's coming together...

Plum,
Trust me, you will be very pleased with the tandem! Let us know how it turns out.

Looks good. Any pics with the boat on yet? Looks like you got electric brakes also?

I just got the boat on the trailer today. I had to hire a couple guys to come out with yardarms and stands since the old trailer was no longer safe to travel. I.D.C.E., it does have EOH brakes.
