Actually took a few out, i don't tow far, and the truck hooks way better with the overload leaves out and the traction bars on

How dose it run with that 525? Buddy has one with a 454 and thinking of an upgrade.

It's really a great match for this boat. It will run 83 anytime with a best recorded speed of 86 and hitting the limiter. Acceleration is awesome. XR upgrade is needed if you drive aggressively. It's not a cheap mod and should involve some hull beefing too which I did. It depends what you want and what you want to spend. You could bolt a pro-charger on the 454 and probably go faster but you wouldn't have the durability and reliability of a Mercury Racing engine.

Nice, Fixx but this is pics of complete RIGS! Get the truck out of hiding.

2011 Ford f-250, 6.7 turbo diesel. Stock with Firestone airbags, factory upgraded hitch and brake controller. Very impressive stock. Pulls the big load like a breeze.

Just an observation from this collection of pictures but some of you guys may want to invest in some different drawbars for your hitches. You REALLY want the trailer to sit level when the entire rig is parked on level ground.

I am not talking about adjusting tongue weight; just raising the ball off the ground. Yes, this may mess with truck handling and tongue weight so a few more adjustments may be necessary. However, with the few trailers/setups that I have seen here and other places on the board lately, these tongue down setups are overstressing the front axle's suspension and spindles; and the front tires themselves. This will lead to premature failure of said components.

Most drop hitch drawbars can be flipped for a raise as well. I much prefer fixed drawbars for these heavy loads we tow vs. adjustables. You can own and use an adjustable, but for your main towing rig on your heavy boat (and heaviest loads towed with ball/coupler hitch setups), invest in a solid setup.

Here is mine. 2011 base model 4x4 Ram, rides better than any other truck I have ever owned but short on power. It works kinda hard to pull my 24. I've had a 2001 F150 Crew, 2008 F150 Crew Limited, and a 1985 F350 Crew Dually. I think the Ram is still my favorite due to the ride, fuel economy, and the rubber floors and vinyl seats. Always had to watch the leather in the Fords, lol. Only going to keep the Ram for another year or two. I want to get a bigger boat so I'm going to need a diesel dually before getting a new boat.

Here's my '11 2500HD Duramax on the north shore of Lake Michigan. I run Air Lift bags in the rear to keep it level while towing.
