Wow, I'm amazed at the amount of hate for my "Jap truck"... For what the truck is made for, it absolutely excels in every way. As I already said, I've decided not to try using my truck, mostly because I *LIKE* it and wouldn't want to risk damage.
On the comment about the beam being too big (since this would apply regardless of the truck used), the distance traveled on the highway comes to a whopping 600ft, I think I would get away with it. |

Loking back at your first post you originally said that the distance is 4 miles and top speeds of 35mph. Pretty sure width restrictions apply to all roads. I am glad you decided not to take the RISK, the rest of us appreciate your decision however I would feel more comfortable if you had decided not to use it because of safety concerns of other drivers instead of corcerns about damages to your JAP truck. Either way it's a good decision.

Would I move that boat in traffic with that truck? NO,
would i move it far with that truck? NO. Would i move it 2-4 miles, at 35mph, with no traffic and my hazzards? maybe. Thats coming from someone with the same boat. My parents have a 330 Formula. and I have my baja 342. both fully loaded. and there is a BIG difference in weight when moving them around.. and I am using a gmc 2500 Desiel. and pull a 342 EVERYWHERE. EDIT EDIT EDIT.... i read tundra, not tacoma. HELL NO that **** pushing past the limits of the big version the little toyota is going to HATE LIFE... let alone no control. |
If i had a half ton no problem for that distance, but an S10, Tacoma, ehh pushing your luck big time.

I have an eco boost and tow 10 grand without a hitch, truck is impressive to say the least. I would bet if you look it up the ecoboost probably acutally weighs more and in reality is bigger truck and probably has the same if not more power than the engine in that dually.
