Of all the dually's I have owned over the last quarter century the best was my 92 F-350 with the 7.3. I have owned three Fords in a row and put many miles on all of them without issues. I know that the emissions is what made Ford change to the 6.0 and then the 6.4 or 6.7...whatever, but they are improving. The 7.3 was bulletproof and a strong puller.
The ride and suspension and especially the frame of a Ford is better than the Chev. The Dodge is a very respectable and reliable vehicle and has its disadvantages as well such as rear seating compared to the F Series. My friend bought a brand new Dodge 4X4 last year and it hauled ok, but got lousy mileage! He traded for a slightly older F-350 Dually with a 6.7 and I have driven it and towed with it. Let me tell you it is an awesome vehicle. Nicely loaded and maxed out with options and a great tow vehicle... fords frames use to be stronger,,thats not the case anymore,,they are chit.. try driving a 2013 dodge,,the def fluid put the milage back where its soppose to be..also to set the record straight dodge offers 4 types od cabs..standars,quad cab, king cab and a mega cab http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nhqjuCret8o |
