Ya, looks bad huh? Actually the first time I hung the flaps was in 25 degree weather at the dealer in Decemeber when I picked up my new boat. Didn't have anything with me to cut it with and decided at the time to leave the flaps on for the 3 hr ride home. Knew when I did it that it wouldn't be pretty. Didn't think about the melted rubber hitting the boat though. Would have be better without them for sure on that trip.

So, still torn between the 2. I called Rock Tamer, no issues getting in 2.5 as said already....

On the setup that I have, I didn't cut them. Rather, I rotated the flap mounting arms up/rearward so the flaps hung somewhat angled backward. It worked for me.

Well, I bought a set of Rock Tamers for the 2.5" hitch. Should be here this week. I'll post up how they are after I try them out.

Thanks to all!

Update. Got them together and installed on the dually. Had to fully extend the bars to cover the outer tires, but it is enough.

Test them out this weekend on a road trip.
