EGT'S are same with 450 tune as they are with 525 tune...so I just leave the 525 loaded. Truck seems to like it better too...

2010 Chevy 3500 DRW CC 4x4 with dpf/ egr delete, K&N CAI, MBRP exhaust, custom efi tunes from Danville Performance. Unloaded on a recent all highway trip from Indianapolis to Atlanta I got 20.9 mpg on trip down and 24.0 mpg on trip home. All hand calculated. Towing our 43 Donzi (triples) from Punta Gorda, FL to Indianapolis I can get 11 mpg. Trailer and boat with fuel weigh in at close to 19,000 lbs. I love this truck

Mild setting (about 50hp) empty 77mph 1800rpm 18-19mpg
towing 8-12k 77mph 10-12mpg
If I drop down to 65mph (which takes forever to get anywhere) I can up my empty mpg to 22-24 and my towing mpg is around 14-15

I know my numbers seem unbelievable to some, but they are straight up fact hand calc numbers............This truck with a programmer and bs removed is the best truck I have EVER owned period. It has 80K on it (it had 33k when I bought it in Dec. of 2012)
Around town I average 17.5 empty.
So around town you get over 600 miles between fill ups and on the HOT setting you get over 700 miles between fill ups and driving conservatively you get over 800 miles to a tank? Assuming you have the factory 36 gallon tank and no auxiliary tank.

So you got to ATL without refueling and had a 1/4 tank of fuel left then when you got home you had 1/3+ left?

I refueled when I got to atl ( was actually Villa Rica just east of ATL) to see how I did on trip down. I was only in town for a day at an auction. When I got back to Indy I filled up again to check how I did on way back. The trip was 546 miles each way. This was my DIC after I filled up back in Indy. This is as high as I've ever seen it, although it's never very accurate. Sometimes high sometimes low. But the 24mpg was hand calculated.
