Didn't read all they way thru but yes some 4.6 have the breakers too. If it's a 3 valve they have the two peice plug. On some of the later 5.4's they made a design change. You can tell by the color of the coil boot. As far as doing the job I have all my guys use an impact on them. just for reference I'm a service manager at a ford dealer.

A 2000 v10 should be a 2 valve. Those don't break.

My friend just did his last month. First time changing plugs at 130,000 miles and he didn't break any.

one of the worst designs for a simple part I have ever seen...but like said before, if you have a miss, scan it, will show which cyl it is, replace the coil 1st 99% time is the issue...they fail often, had a old police crown vic that got in on trade deal, started missing under load like a bad plug wire, was coil, changed that and ran fine...

It's because of the plugs why the coils go bad. The plugs wear and then that puts the could at 100% duty cycle and then they go bad. I won't let my guys replace a 3v coil without doing the plug also.
