Take your truck to advance and have them use their generic obd2 scanner to scan for codes. It's free

As others mentioned. Get the code. Get a device to read the coolant temp and the oil temp after operating temperature 60mph on a flat road. Should be less than 15 degrees. If more the oil cooler is plugged. Is the original coolant in the truck? If so, flush it a few times prior to changing oil cooler and then put Caterpillar EC1 coolant in it with a coolant filter. |
yes, coolant has not been changed, original

Sorry not to mention my credentials but I do hold many ford certifications including 7.3 6.0 6.4

who makes a good tuner for my 2011 ford 6.7 and will i gain any mpg with one.

all I can say is not driving the truck everyday leads to killing turbos they have a issue...I do not drive my duramax much at all, sits in garage until we need to tow usually, no turbo issues, sounds like some high paid engineer screwed up...
|
I agree with you, I also own a duramax.

I don't know of the best programmer for the 6.7 but I know the sct was a really good programmer for the 6.0. You might want to see what they offer for the 6.7
